I'm Back. For Good.

I have to admit that I've really missed working on this blog.

I've been rather busy with the content mills, plus a few private clients. Oh, and my 6 month old son who never seems to sit still. And did I mention it's summer break and my 8 year old is home all day? It's hard to find time for anything other than writing and parenting these days. Housework hasn't made the list lately either, as evidenced by the massive pile of laundry that's threatening to take over my bedroom.

If you're a WAHM, you probably identify with that. Heck, if you're just a mom in general, you know what I'm talking about.

But enough about that. I'm going to start posting here daily, so stay tuned. If you have something you want to see, let me know. In the meantime, I'll leave you with a link to an old article about freelance writing. You can find it here.

I'm always bad about updating this blog.

I'll be back soon, though.

I'm developing a contest involving some of my articles.

Stay tuned for the details.

Hot Pink High Heels

Hot Pink High Heels

I'm trying to write more hubs about clothing and makeup lately. It'll take some practice, as I prefer to write about other topics like Bipolar Disorder and parenting.

I haven't updated my earnings in awhile. I'll share them soon.

A Review of Patch.com

I recently started writing for Patch.com (late August/early September), and have to say that it has been a pleasant experience so far. While I won't disclose my rate per listing, I will say that I have already made $1728 this year, and will probably make about $3000 by the end of the year. Considering that I'm 9 months pregnant and not accepting as much work as I would like to, this is excellent money.

Why I Love Patch:

- Weekly payments (every Tuesday) via PayPal

- Friendly editors

- Excellent training- my orientation (held at a local library) was several hours long, and included my own detailed guide, which I referenced regularly when I first started writing for Patch

- Rewrite requests that make sense (as opposed to the vague requests other writers have reported receiving from certain sites)

If you're the type of person who likes to know exactly what is expected and required of you, you'll like being a writer for Patch.

We just moved into our new apartment last weekend, so things have been hectic. I haven't forgotten about you guys, though. I'll update on my freelance writing income and monthly earnings soon.
